The gearbox is a late model swing axel 1300 case. Gear ratios are a 3.24, 2.14, 1.48 and 1.04. Diff gear is an L-bug 3.875.  3rd and 4th gears have  welded centers. The gearbox was assembled with new bearings and synchro's. Third gear and all keys are Berg items. Selector forks are forged.

At this stage I had also upgraded the suspension and brakes. The rear brakes are wide Type 3 drums, and the front disks are late model type 1. The master cylender is a late model duel circuit cylinder.

The wheels are fully polished Porsche 15x6 Fuches with Pirelli P5000 195/50/15 tires, and Rears are 15x7 Fuches with Pirelli P5000 205/50/15 tires.

The front suspension has select-a-drop's welded in the upper and lower beams. The beams's caster is altered with Berg caster shims. There are Koni adjustable shocks all round and the front suspension has a 1/2" Whiteline anti-sway bar fitted.

With the suspension slightly lowered and this wheel and tire set up, the car handles like its on rails, or at least like a go-cart.
