As part of the chassis restoration I decided to detail the gearbox as well. This involved cleaning and de-buring the case and sanding the axel tubes. Here it is prior to being painted. I then painted the axel tubes flat black and the gearbox gloss black. All nuts were then replaced with nickel plated ny-lock nuts, and new rubber German axel boots were fitted.
